Question 1

How is pricing determined for services on Mocanik?

Accepted Answer

Mocanik uses a standardized pricing system based on your service, vehicle, and level of work required, so every customer receives fair, consistent, and transparent pricing.

Question 2

How does Mocanik’s Pricing Engine work?

Accepted Answer

Mocanik uses a proprietary pricing engine to calculate fair and competitive service prices. Our system analyzes factors such as:

* Vehicle year, make, model, and trim
* Service type and estimated labor time
* Local market labor rates
* Parts requirements and availability
* Mobile service considerations
* Regional pricing trends

The goal is to provide pricing that is fair to both customers and mechanics. Rather than relying on guesswork or inconsistent quotes, our pricing engine uses real-world data to generate standardized estimates.

Prices may be adjusted if additional issues are discovered during service, if the customer requests additional work, or if parts costs change. Any changes are reviewed and approved before additional charges are applied whenever possible.

Question 3

How are prices calculated?

Accepted Answer

Mocanik’s Pricing Engine uses vehicle information, labor estimates, market rates, and service requirements to generate fair, competitive pricing. Our goal is to provide transparent pricing that balances affordability for customers with fair compensation for mechanics.

Question 4

Why are Mocanik prices different?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional repair shops that may quote different prices for the same repair, Mocanik uses a proprietary AI-powered Pricing Engine that analyzes vehicle data, labor requirements, local market conditions, and parts costs to deliver consistent, data-driven pricing.

This helps ensure:

* Fair prices for customers
* Fair payouts for mechanics
* Greater transparency throughout the repair process

Our mission is simple: fair pricing, no guesswork.

Question 5

How are mechanics vetted?

Accepted Answer

All mechanics on Mocanik are required to verify their identity and provide documentation before accepting jobs. We review credentials, experience, and background information to help ensure customers are connected with trusted professionals.

Question 6

Are all mechanics ASE certified?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Some mechanics may hold ASE certifications, while others may have years of professional experience without ASE credentials. When available, certification information is displayed so customers can make informed decisions.

Question 7

Can I choose my mechanic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Depending on availability, customers can review mechanic profiles, qualifications, ratings, and certifications before a job is assigned or accepted.

Question 8

Are mechanics employees of Mocanik?

Accepted Answer

Mocanik works with a network of both independent contractors and employed automotive professionals. Depending on the service, location, and availability, your repair may be completed by a mechanic who is employed by Mocanik, works for a partner repair facility, or operates as an independent service provider through the platform. All service providers must meet Mocanik’s standards and verification requirements before accepting jobs.

Question 9

Accepted Answer

Our support team will review the situation and work with both parties to help reach a fair resolution.

Question 10
